DETERIORATION SERIES

For this series, I worked with the theme of deterioration, focusing on deterioration of a persons confidence and self esteem, seen especially in todays social media and technology fuelled world. The main piece for this series included a pencil drawing with three horizontal thirds that each contained different pictures. The middle third contained a closeup of a persons face to show the effects that deterioration of self esteem has on a person, such as stress or anxiety. The drawing of water represented feeling lost in the world and not knowing your place. The drawing of crumpled paper represented all the baggage that people carry and the feeling of failure or frustration.
