For this photography project, I was inspired by the artist Jane Long and her series titled “Dancing with Costicâ”, in which she has taken old photographs, colourised them, and put them into a new context. I created two composited images, both of which highlight the importance of heritage and family. Within each image is an old photograph of my family members, which I have colourised. I have placed these old photographs into new contexts with new elements that have symbolic meaning for that person in the image.
